During the holidays time past very quickly before I know I am going to sec 3. I am really looking forward to know my form and subject teachers, my new classmates and other activities..(CCA)I definitely know that next year it would be challenging as I am competing with the students and learning new subjects. THE MOMMY TEST
I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter. She picked up something off the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the item away from her and I asked her not to do that.
"Why?" my daughter asked.
"Because it's been on the ground, you don't know where it's been, it's dirty, and probably has germs" I replied.
At this point, my daughter looked at me with total admiration and asked, "Mommy, how do you know all this stuff, you are so smart."
I was thinking quickly. "All moms know this stuff. It's on the Mommy Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Mommy."
We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidently pondering this new information.
"OH...I get it!" she beamed, "So if you don't pass the test you have to be the daddy."
"Exactly" I replied back with a big smile on my face.
I HOPE U ENJOY IT... THANKS. HAHAHAHAHAHA.........

THE GIRL THAT KISSED THE PEACH TREE
BY ELEANOR FARJOEN
AN INDIAN FOLKTALE...
A peasant girl,Marietta lived in Sicily,a country full of fruit trees, peach and apricot. The fruit country lay spread out at the foot of mountain. The mountain was a volcano which erupts with red fire stone from its hole and destroys everything in its course. The people in the country regards it as the King of the Mountain. There came one morning when Marietta was playing with her plant that she loved more than anything as her brother planted it the day she was born. She always spent time with her plant and also treat it as her friend and talk to it that caused his brother to tease her. There came one morning, when Marietta felt severe tremble in the ground and grumble in the air. All the people immediately went to the church to pray to the god to protect them from the danger. But the priest ask them to evacuate as soon as possible as the suitation was worse. So the people kissed their trees to ask blessings from the god for their fruit trees to survive. On the way out with her mother, Marietta realised that she did not kissed her plant,so she went back without telling her mother... After some time, her mother get to know she was not with her and informed her brother. Her brother went inside his house and saw her lying in the ground with her plant. When she woke up she told her brother that the plant told her not to be afraid and the King of Mountain would go back if the plant goes back with it and the plant is ready to go with the mountain she came to kiss it.. Her brother shouted 'it had went back' and the people said it is really an miracle to happen in the country...

Luke Sheldon is a diabetic fifteen year old from London. With an elder brother (who constantly bullies him) about to go to university, Luke can't wait to get the room they share all to himself. One morning, he receives a letter from the WRYP (Well Rounded Youth Project) – a camp for smart children – telling him he's been invited to a camp in the USA.
When he gets to Heathrow Airport to meet the leaders and fellow campers, he spots his best friend from his old school, Natalie Anderson – a girl as smart as he is. The two of them make friends with another boy – Matt Newbury. After a plane ride to New York, the campers take a bus to the Adirondack Mountains – the home of Camp Hope.
After settling in and meeting his camp councilor, Drew, the fun of the camp starts with hiking, horse-riding and archery. After lunch, Luke finds a coded message in his cabin. Later on, Luke and his friends assemble to decipher the code; they reveal a message about a treasure quest. But when further clues arrive, the hunt leads Luke into the forbidden tunnels in the surrounding forest. When things begin to go wrong, he realizes his taste for problem solving has lead him to bite off more than he can imagine.

I was commited to DNT THERAPHY GAME PROJECT which lasted for almost 3 weeks. There were almost 15 students splitted into 2 groups for the project. The project was actually for the old people to spend time playing the games. So, when we started we had lots of frustration as we had alot of distruption such as breakage of acrylic, but we persevered to finish our project. I also learnt alot of things through this project such as to be creative, to be intelligent enough to use the correct material and to interact and cooperate with the students to get our work done. Even though we had a hard time doing the project in the other hand we had an enjoyable time with our friends. It help us to understand each other well too. I think the experience I gain could help me in future and I was also satisfied doing my part for the elderly and the society.

ST MEDIA CAMP
ST MEDIA CAMP
More than 100 students aspiring to be a journalist came for the 2 day camp at the SPH auditorium... I was partly one of them although I did not really wanted to be a journalist... But I learnt a lot of things like what it takes to be a journalist, as we people have the mind that journalism are all about writing and being busy body... but it is more than that ,as being a journalist as you should be thick skin, tough, have stamina and most importantly persevere to get your work done... Another information that I get to know was the making of newspaper that was really interesting. It involves the journalist, editor, sub-editor, photo journalist and the correspondent. As there are different sections in the newspaper such as ‘Life’ and ‘Sports’ it really takes a lot of time to get their articles ready . But the newspaper articles had to be ready as early as 4a.m. for print, and at the print the newspaper had to be given to the supplier by 5.30a.m. for sale. Hence, we people are able to get our newspaper latest by 7.30a.m. Lastly we get to know that net can be used as a source to engage the youths with news paper… We were also able to have the feel at the print and were able to see the big machines too… I would say that it was kind of a useful camp for me.

Muslims all over the world observe Eid-ul Adha (in Arabic) or Hari Raya Aidil Adha (in Malay) on the 10th day of Zulhijah, the last month of the Muslim calendar. This festival is celebrated in conjunction with the pilgrimages performed by Muslims, called the Haj and to commemorate Prophet Abraham's spirit of Qurban or sacrifice. Thus, in Singapore, Hari Raya Aidil Adha is also known as Hari Raya Haji or Hari Raya Qurban. In Singapore, the day is spent offering thanksgiving prayers and prayers for forgiveness at the mosques early in the morning. After prayers, Muslims conduct the 'qurban' - slaughtering of animals such as lambs and goats.
During this festive season,my family and I went to the mosque for our usual mourning prayer. We then greeted each other by shaking hands. At home we had a big feast with all by favourite dishes. By the lunch time my relatives started to visit us.. I liked it as it is the day where all of us forgive each other and unite which is good to see. I was playing with the children while my parents had a long chat with the adults.(relative). I really cherished this day as each and everyone looks happy even though they had their own problems or anger at each other. This is also the day where adults would give green packets to the children. Hence all children would look forward to this day. I was one of them too...
tats about it.. nothing much to say

Newspaper article (29/11/08)
106- year old ‘takes care’ of husband No. 22**
This article is about a lady aged 106 has married a man which is her 22nd husband. Both of them lived in a village in Kuala Be rang. Despite their big age gap, her husband was very happy as he thought that no one would marry him at an age of 37 and as he works as a labourer. He was happy too as he felt that there was someone to take care for him and fulfill his basic necessities. This was shocking to me as I had never come across such news in my life. This is sentimental news and means a lot to the couple as LOVE is between both of them…
Newspaper article (29/11/08)
Rapist dad ‘out to enrich himself ’**
This article happened in London, Britain that shocked my life. This article was about a ‘monster dad’ who had raped his own daughter and had made her pregnant 19 times to support his lifestyle and to get child benefits. The relatives also added and said he had offered his younger daughter £500 (S$ 1200) to have another child to boost his income but instead the daughter had paid him $100 to stop him from abusing her. Even after sentenced to 25 life sentences the father did not have any feeling for abusing her daughter. However, he had written to his daughter to buy him gifts. I really felt sorry for having such a bad father for the daughter. I felt that the father should have sentenced more severely so that he would regret for his biggest mistake in his life..
